After using Excel Spreadsheet in creating a gradebook and a material aid . . . I can only say WOW!!! As a teacher, as well as for personal use, the possibilities are infinite . . . only limited by one's imagination. In my math classroom, ultimately every teaching aid I use will be compiled as a spreadsheet or a material aid. As a math teacher I will use spreadsheets for all mathematical procedures, grading, tests, worksheets, evaluations, instructional directions, etc.
The advantage of a spreadsheet over a calculator is that once the spreadsheet has been created and a template saved, a few simple steps of data entry and presto 1.2.3. . . . automatic pilot takes over and does the work for you, without mistakes or miscalculations.
